I absolutely love sipping on hot drinks when its gloomy and cold out, especially during the holidays! Peppermint hot chocolate has always been something that I look forward to during this time of year, but instead of walking down to Starbucks to get my hot cocoa fix I decided to one up Starbucks and make my own! The other day I was surfing pinterest (post seen here) or in other words avoiding cleaning the house, and discovered a chocolate rainbow sprinkle rimmed cup for a glass of milk! Due to the fact that I hate milk, but loved the idea I thought that I would give the idea a try with hot chocolate…. made with hot water of course! I opted for peppermint candy canes to add a festive touch!
