Yesterday I hopped on a plane back to the bay area. I have a couple photoshoots scheduled for this weekend so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to surprise my family (why not kill two birds with one stone?). I received a text from my boyfriend moments before I walked out the door to head to the airport saying “grab a coat, its freezing here” I gladly ran back inside to grab my leopard fur coat. Leaving the airport in San Diego people looked at my like I was crazy for wearing a fur coat in 70 degree weather but as soon as I landed my fur coat came in hand. I was shocked at how well I was able to keep my surprise… I didn’t give any subtle hints!
First was my mom, she had no idea I was coming in town so when I showed up at her office she was in utter shock, speechless for about 2 minutes. Then was my grandma, I had called her to tell her to call me when she got home so she could give me a recipe so when I received the call instead of calling her back I rang the doorbell …. and once again she was speechless and a little confused. After that I decided to surprise my siblings by just walking in the kitchen and asking what’s for dinner? Everyone was truly shocked so I think it is safe to say that my surprise was successful. The weather in the bay area is gloomy and cold but I love it. I am excited to get down to business for this weekends photo-shoots as well as football in the rain, hot-chocolate by the fire and a home made (grandma cooked) dinner!
