About a week ago I started a cleanse that has honestly, instantly, restarted my metabolism and given me more energy than I could have ever imagined. For two solid years, I’ve been stuck in a rut. I consumed anything and everything I wanted without limits or boundaries. Although it has been enjoyable, its time for a overhaul as my previous eating habits resulted in an unhealthy lifestyle. Since I began this amazing cleanse I feel like a new person (cliché I know … but really!). On Tuesday’s and Thursday’s I am at school pretty much all day… I used to either starve myself during the day, go crazy at dinner or I would grab something fast & greasy for lunch. Sunday’s are now dedicated to planning & preparing for the week. I make delicious on the go salads that I can munch on in between classes. This quinoa salad is ridiculously easy and quick to whip up for lunches on the go. My food choices and eating habits are slowly changing. I nibble on snacks such as celery with almond butter and carrots and hummus during my breaks. Salads such as the Quinoa Salad are a hearty lunch and will hold me over until dinner with out ever feeling the need to stop by in-n-out on the way home from school.
