Like I have previously mentioned, some weeks are much more productive than others so I recently adopted a new system to help me stay organized. Most days I am trying to tackle multiple projects… often times simultaneously. Some days this approach works and some days I get completely off track and I don’t complete the things that I set out to do in the morning. I can’t remember where I read it… but a few weeks ago, I read that you should create a list each morning with the Top 5 tasks that you mustaccomplish by the end of the day. Whether it is picking up stamps from the post office or sending a client a follow up email… write it down on your list. By visibly having your daily responsibilities in front of you all day, you are consistently reminded of what you should be working on. Certain times during the day (normally, during the hours of 2-4) I find myself checking Pinterest or browsing the internet because I lose sight of what needs to be accomplished before I unplug for the night. When the evening hours approach, I am stressed because I only have a limited amount of time to grind everything out that still needs to be done. After implementing this Top 5 rule into my daily routine I have found myself being more productive and it makes me feel like I have accomplished more throughout my day. No matter how small or big the task, I love crossing off something after I have completed it.
AND…. my morning isn’t complete without my Spark Energy Drink.
This is a really great idea! Some days I have too many things to do and get overwhelmed, but jotting down five that I really, really have to accomplish is more feasible!
Thanks!
