I recently traveled to Miami for a quick weekend getaway and a birthday celebration. We stayed at the SLS in Brickwell which was absolutely gorgeous, only down side was was that it was a lil too far from South Beach. At the point of booking, I didn’t really care where the hotel was, as long as it was not in NY and had a pool. This was the first year that my skin reached an ultra transparent shade. Living in California my entire life , constantly exposed to the sun, I was desperately yearning for that summer glow. Being the impatient person that I am, the first day I wore the minimal amount of SPF by the pool. What a BAD DECISION — I regretfully paid for those two hours in the sun all weekend which rolled into the following week. I am not kidding when I say that I was a RED LOBSTER. Never in my life have I experienced sun that hot (including Mexico & Hawaii), I actually felt my skin cooking the second I stepped in the sun. Lesson learned, Miami sun is not to be messed with.
