Crinkle Top Brownies

I rarely have cravings these days, I think my vitamins help curb the cravings. HOWEVER, I saw someone on Instagram  make these brownies by Half Baked Harvest and ever since then, I have not stopped thinking about them. I was truly “influenced”.  Brownies from scratch, never crossed my mind. Why would you go through all that work, when you can buy a box? Well, let me tell you, making homemade brownies is totally worth it — and it’s actually not that difficult. Since I don’t keep any chocolate or butter in the house, it required a trip to the store. They are so delicious and have become my go-to dessert when a chocolate craving comes up.

After making the recipe AND trying them, I have a 3 take aways…

1. I like chocolate, but I have never been a fan of double choc chip cookies or anything like that, SO, if I were to make them again, I wouldn’t fold in the 1/2 cup of choc chips I saved for the end. I’ve decided I like more of a cake-y brownie.

2. The bread loaf pan worked, but it took longer than 35 minutes. It took about 40-45 minutes to fully cook through. PRO: The result was a nice thick brownie CON: Only fits half the batter, so you will need to make in batches.

3. Slamming the pan after 10 minutes, really helped with the crinkle on the top.
