Berries are so fresh right now… so when I hit up the farmers market on the weekends I can’t help but go crazy fruit shopping. When I get a little too crazy and buy to much for the week, I try and use them in some way before they go bad so that they don’t go to waste! This week the strawberries were gone in a flash but it was a different story for the blackberries and raspberries. Luckily I had some left over pie crust in the freezer from this post so I decided to make a berry tart with the extras. Serve it with some whip cream and vanilla ice cream… yumm.
A good dessert idea for a BBQ or a special holiday coming up (two days before my birthday to be exact) !
